UEFA adopts new Champions League kick-off times

Bad news for early birds, good news for bigots: UEFA announced on Tuesday the new kick-off times of the Champions League. With the beginning of the season 2018/19 they come into force.

The secret is no more: with negotiations on changing kick-off times in the Champions League in the past, UEFA has now made headaches and officially announced the changes on Tuesday.

While the mode does not change during the group stage and knockout rounds, fans need to be prepared for new kick-off times. Instead of 20:45 as before, half of the games will start at 18:55. The second half of the group matches will start at 21:00. These times are also valid for the Europa League. UEFA has not yet revealed how kick-off times will be in the knockout stages of the two competitions.

In addition, the European federation also fixed the playoff places 2018/19. The final of the premier class rises on 1 June 2019 at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid. The European League winner will be announced on May 29, 2019 at the Olympic Stadium in Baku.
